Each month, associates nominate their colleagues for associate of the month. Honorees receive an engraved
commemorative clock, covered parking space and $100 in UPS merchandise and apparel. They are also eligible
to be named associate of the quarter or associate of the year.

This year’s associate of the year is Brandon Olson, a communications specialist in the
Marketing Department. In nominating Brandon, his manager wrote that he "embodies the characteristics of the
ideal associate," further commenting, "Within the MBE and UPS community Brandon personifies the type of
culture that we want to instill here and that makes us who we are: friendly, open, professional, and
dedicated to his work and the franchisees."

Prominently displayed in the lobby, the recognition board is an opportunity for associates to thank their
colleagues for the little things, whether they saved the day or just made the day better.

Exclusively posted online, the Service Spotlight showcases letters written by customers recognizing
associates for having provided our signature world-class customer service excellence.

At milestone anniversaries, associates receive commemorative gifts and are featured in our various
internal communication pieces.
